Historical morphosyntax discourse traditions Early Modern Spanish (ca. 1675- 1825) epistolary prose administrative prose linguistic elaboration morfosintaxis histórica tradiciones discursivas primer español moderno (h. 1675-1825) prosa epistolar prosa administrativa elaboración intensiva Este trabajo aborda un conjunto amplio de fenómenos morfosintácticos presentes en instancias de particulares a la Junta Suprema Central y Gubernativa del Reino durante su periodo de vigencia (de fines de 1808 a fines de 1809) y compara el estatuto variacional de dichos fenómenos en tales cartas con el que puede observarse en la prosa culta del primer tercio del siglo XIX. Los resultados ofrecen indicios de interés acerca de los fenómenos gramaticales más y menos promovidos hacia el fin del «primer español moderno» (h. 1675-1825) y contribuyen a la caracterización morfosintáctica de las tradiciones discursivas epistolares y administrativas en este tiempo. This contribution deals with a broad array of morphosyntactic phenomena present in petitory letters addressed to the Junta Suprema, the Spanish governing organ between fall 1808 and winter 1809. The variational status of those phenomena is compared to that manifest in highly elaborate prose from the initial third of the 19th century. The results help in identifying those grammatical phenomena that were being most and least promoted by the end of Early Modern Spanish (ca. 1675-1825) and shed light on the morphosyntactic makeup of epistolary and administrative discourse traditions in that period.
