La Feromona de pista de Crematogaster Lund (Hymenoptera, Formicidae): vàlida per a tot el gènere?

Sara Martí, Xavier Espadaler

The trail pheromone of Crematogaster Lund (Hymenoptera, Formicidae): a genèric substance?<(i> Ant trail pheromones are usually species-specific. The source of trail pheromone in Crematogaster sp. is a small tibial gland from the third pair of legs. A simple test of gland extracts using hexane shows that several species of the subgenus Acrocoelia readily follow the
trail of each other; however, C. (Orthocrema) sordidula does not seem to follow the trail of Acrocoelia species.
