Servicios ecosistémicos del estuario de Bahía Blanca y el conflicto del dragado

This paper analyzes the influence of a tentative dredging project (“Proyecto para la Extensión del Canal de Acceso hasta el Puerto Cuatreros”) and the location of a new Regasification Plant in the industrial area of Bahia Blanca on the emergence of collective action and self-organizing rules in the artisanal fisheries. The work is developed by using Participatory Action Research and Focal Groups methodologies. We conclude that an incipient social self-organization is appearing due to the identification of some common goals, which is needed for the environmental preservation and the sustainability of the socio-ecological system under study.
