This paper analyses the effects of governance structure on the social, economic and environment of the Small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in the Global Commodity Chain. The public regulation of the institutional framework and market failures such as: economies of scale, vertical integration, externalities have been strengthening the governance structure. Additionally, SMEs cause multiple effects on natural resources and productive factors affecting the environmental sustainability. The purpose of this paper is to explain the effect on the garment and textile industry comparing two corporation groups. The main conclusion is that governance structure and development and research process of new product and processes have affected the concentration of benefits and environmental sustainability in the global commodity chain.
