Oriola, tópicos y realidades (ss. XVI-XVII)

During the interlude of 16th and 17th centuries the Oriolan inhabitants live a period of mayor wealth within the Floral Time. Thus brought out magnificent and grand perceptions about the city, compelling the citizens to confuse the reality with the yearnings. As a result of this situation topics, and more over myths, were created. Each epoch generate its own dreams, and the 16th century was abundant in them. Knowing the citizen’s peculiar perception about the town could help to evoke the image the population have about it. There is a town with its buildings along with the idealized picture of Orihuela, and both conformed the nature of the Oriolans of that period who were eventually the makers of the history of the town.
