In recent years, schools have witnessed an increase in the arrival of students from different countries in their classrooms, in addition to a growing multicultural society. This situation has given rise to specific needs that must be addressed from an early age in the educational system in order to promote students’ mutual understanding of multicultural society. This study presents the design and implementation of a project on intercultural education using emerging ICT tools such as augmented reality and QR codes. The experience was carried out during the internship period of future teachers in the BA in Early Childhood Education through an assignment in the subject of Didactic-Technological Resources Applied to Early Childhood Education during the 2016–2017 academic year. The results show that both active and future teachers widely accept these technologies and use them to innovate didactic contents, as well as an improvement in the motivation, interest and involvement of their students.
