This work exposes a research process about the use of multimedia resources as learning mediators of English vocabulary versus the efficiency of the conventional method of teaching with flashcards. Moreover, the factors that influence the acquisition of a second language vocabulary are studied. This quantitative research was carried out in a private preschool institution. The results were obtained through the application of a pre-test and a post-test to 30 preschool students. In addition, a questionnaireinterview was administrated to the teachers in order to know their opinion about the factors of students and professors that influence in learning a second language vocabulary. The findings confirmed the effectiveness of multimedia resources in learning a second language vocabulary, and the factors the teachers considered influential in the learning of English vocabulary.
