The fantastic in Spanish cinema: Memorias del ángel caído, Fuera del cuerpo y La hora fria

Since the mid-nineties of the last century the Spanish cinema has returned to the fantastic genre with new names to add to what came to be called «Golden Age». Under three non-exhaustive headings, the article attempts to highlight the better known titles and directors and revindicate unjustly forgotten wagers. According to the cinematic background and the different concerns of the new directors, we present trends that we terml adoption, reinvention or merger of traditional forms of fantasy films in the new Spanish cinema.
