El uso del chat en contextos de aprendizaje de lenguas: Translanguaging practices

Lidia Lemus, José Antonio Saura Rami

This paper analyzes a collaborative interaction between two student teachers of Spanish and English as a Foreign Language, respectively, as part of their initial training in their countries of origin. The data analysis is based on the theory of Conversational Analysis (CA) and is supported theoretically by a socio-constructivist perspective of learning. The article discusses the characteristics of the interaction between the student teachers and the impact it can have in their second language learning and in achieving the goal of the task at hand.
