Ciudad y riesgo sísmico: metodologías para la evaluación de la Vulnerabilidad Sísmica

Mirta Romero, Fernanda Nafá, Manuel Caballero, Federico Videla

Resum

ENG: This project develops some tools (methodologies and techniques) to evaluate the seismic vulnerability in urban areas. First, we design a
model for the diagnosis and evaluation of threats and vulnerabilities in order to determine the states of damage to the buildings, based on
the construction of scenarios that recover the spatial and temporal dimensions involved. The model prioritizes the use of variables that can
be spatialized to allow the application of policy instruments, planning and urban development, aimed at reducing vulnerability. We take
as a study case the city of San Juan, Argentina. These developments will be applicable to the study of the vulnerability of other urban
centers in the country, exposed to the same threat.
