Aplicación práctica de la interpretación judicial a las aulas universitarias

This article has two main objectives: analysing the professional setting and the teaching of interpretation. Firstly, a survey has been carried out in order to know what are the present translation needs in professional legal interpretation in Andalusia (Spain). For this reason, we have been put into contact with the interpreters that work (permanently and full time) in this sector in the abovementioned region, as well as the companies that provide and use this service for administration, trials and Courts. The second objective is to apply these results to the teaching of interpretation. Therefore, our purpose is to create practical activities based on real life professional situations that help students to prepare for this sector of the job market within this specialised field whilst improving their motivation.
