Evaluation curves with HC1 and NaOH of non-treated. chlorinated and Hercosett 57 wools have bren determined. From the data furnished by tho absorption isotherms the modified equilibrium constant and the variations of free energy, enthalpy and entropy in state of equilibrium for each wool have been calculated. From the acid absorption curves at constant pH and making use of adecuate equations the speed constants, the apparent activation energies, the diffusion coefficients of the proton as well as the variations of free energy, enthalphy and entropy of the proton in activated state have been calculated. From the obtained results it can be deduced that the values of the thermodynamic parameters that define the equilibrium state are practically the same for the three wools, the contrary ocurring with the kinetic parameters of the proton in activated state.
