Communication offices satisfy the increasing communication needs of organizations in modern-day society, where information and communication in general are increasing forms of security. Communication offices have prospered all over Spain in recent years. This article presents the results of a recent investigation: communication offices in Andalusia. Fact-finding techniques used were documentary observation (statistics, etc), the sending of questionnaires and direct observation. The investigation shows how well implanted communication offices are. Andalusia has 600 communication offices at present. Seville has half of these offices. Public institutions and the business sector are the sectors with most communication offices. Social organizations, generally for financial reasons, have fewer communication offices.
